Safe Pet Boarding and Doggy Daycare in Lubbock

All boarding at Pampered Paws is located indoors so your pet has a properly air conditioned and heated environment. Our pet concierge will make sure your dog gets their outdoor play time and potty time.

Two meals will be provided daily, or we can accommodate a special feeding schedule if it is necessary. We will provide bedding and toys but you are welcome to bring your own if you feel it will make your pet more comfortable and happy.

Pampered Paws has been locally owned and operated in Lubbock since 2000. You will find us at 5201 13th St., at the corner of 13th and Slide. Call 806-793-7387 to reserve a room or ask about daycare.

Indoor, Climate-Controlled Pet Boarding

Lubbock summers are hot, winters bring cold snaps, and spring brings wind and dust. Because every boarding room is indoors, your pet sleeps in a comfortable, temperature-controlled space no matter what the weather is doing outside, and still gets regular outdoor breaks with our staff.

Half-Day and Full-Day Doggy Daycare

Daycare is a great fit if your dog gets bored or anxious at home alone, if you have a long workday, or if your puppy has more energy than your schedule allows. Choose half-day daycare for one to four hours, or all-day daycare for four hours or more - no overnight stay required.

What to Bring for Boarding

  • Your pet's regular food, if you would like to keep the diet unchanged - sudden food changes can upset a dog's stomach. Need to stock up? We carry premium foods in our pet food and supplies section.
  • Any medications, in their original containers, with written dosing instructions.
  • Current vaccination records - call us to confirm which vaccinations are required.
  • A favorite blanket or toy (optional - we provide bedding and toys).
  • Your contact details for the stay and your veterinarian's name and phone number.

Helping Your Dog Settle In

Most dogs settle in quickly, but a few simple steps make the first stay easier: try a daycare day before a longer boarding stay, keep drop-off calm and short, and tell us about your dog's routine, feeding times and any quirks. The more we know, the more at home your dog will feel.

Is Doggy Daycare Right for Your Dog?

Daycare tends to suit dogs that enjoy company and have energy to burn. It can be a good fit if:

  • Your dog is home alone for long stretches while you work.
  • Your puppy or young dog needs more activity than you can give on busy days.
  • Your dog gets restless, noisy or destructive when bored.
  • You want your dog to be familiar with us before a longer boarding stay.

If your dog is very anxious around other dogs or has health concerns, talk to us first so we can discuss what will work best.

Daycare or Boarding: Which Do You Need?

Choose daycare when you need care during the day and your dog will sleep at home - half-day covers one to four hours and all-day covers four hours or more. Choose boarding when you are traveling or away overnight; your dog stays in an indoor room with two meals a day and regular outdoor breaks. Many owners use both: daycare during the week and boarding for trips.

Plan Ahead for Holidays and Travel Seasons

Boarding rooms can fill up around holidays and school breaks. If you know your travel dates, call 806-793-7387 early to reserve a room, and have your pet's vaccination records ready so check-in is quick.
